The high trichloroacetic concentration in mesopeel TCA (35%) enables deeper peel making it highly effective in treating deep wrinkles and blemishes.
Mesopeel TCA is highly efficient treatments against slight to moderate photoaging, wrinkles, actinic and sebhorreic keratosis, pigmentary dischromia, acne and acneic scars, lack of facial luminosity and recovery of skin texture and general skin tone.
The trichloroacetic acid action mechanism is the chemical coagulation of skin proteins and is neutralised by plexo dermis serum. Acid penetration is progressive and descends freely through the different dermis layers. Exfoliation capacity varies with concentration. After healing, the treated area re-epithelises and the new skin is firmer and more elastic.
Composition : Trichloroacetic acid 35%
TCA (35%) treatment cycle: Suitable for skins that have previously been prepared with superficial peels. A maximum of 2 or 3 sessions per year with minimum rest periods of 4 months
Trichloroacetic acid (TCA) is a chemical exfoliant that acts on epidermal proteins to trigger keratocoagulation, which is manifested by the appearance of secondary frost on the skin. This action improves the physiological and mechanical properties of the skin by stimulating fibroblast activity responsible for synthesizing the various macromolecules of the extracellular matrix (structural glycosaminoglycans and proteoglycans).
Apply mesopeel TCA 35% to specific and localized areas (lentigines, scars, wrinkles) that have been previously prepared with superficial peels.
Useage: On clean dry skin, apply a degreasing solution to eliminate the acid mantle.
Mesoestetic® Professional Degreasing Lotion is recommended. Protect eyes with gauze soaked in water prior to applying MESOPEEL TCA.
Contact lens users should remove lenses prior to treatment.
Apply Mesoestetic® Mesolips Protector to protect facial oval, nasogenian wrinkles, and lips with special emphasis on commissures. Pour 5 ml into dose cup and apply MESOPEEL TCA solution uniformly with a brush. Trichloroacetic acid causes gradual but rapid denaturalisation of epidermis and dermis proteins. This process known as keratocoagulation is observed through the appearance of a white frosting on the skin surface. Leave product to act 3 minutes maximum. If flaking is incomplete a second layer may be applied after 2 minutes to achieve desired flaking.
During treatment the patient may experience a burning sensation which subsequently disappears. Should itching be generalised and very intense, terminate treatment immediately, as it could be a symptom of deep exfoliation and cause complications. On termination of action time wash skin with abundant water and apply the Mesoestetic® neutralising solution Post-peel Neutralizing Spray. Spray treated area generously; leave to act for several minutes and wash area with saline solution or cold water. 48 hours after treatment, the patient may wash the area with a mild syndet.
Re-epithelisation starts on third day and lasts between 7 and 10 days. In this phase occlusive compresses and emollient creams like Fast Skin Repair by Mesoestetic®, which calm the necrotic epidermis should be used which prevent serum exudation and scab formation. Daily application of high SPF photoprotectors against UVA and UVB radiation is compulsory 48 hours after the peeling session and for at least six months after treatment completion.
